I don’t think you can even say that word without smiling. ᵕ̈
I fell in love with Steve Irwin after watching his very first episode. His excitement was contagious. His love for wildlife was real. He didn’t just talk about conservation — he felt it. And somehow, he made the rest of us feel it too.
If you knew me “back then” … I was all about The Crocodile Hunter. My room was full of crocodile stuffed animals. Every Steve toy, tshirt, signed memorabilia - it was all proudly displayed in my room.
Last year, I took a weekend “sister trip” to Las Vegas to attend the Steve Irwin Gala - and I was changed. Being in that room with 400+ Irwin fans - watching hundreds of thousands of dollars being donated towards wildlife conservation - seeing the legacy Steve and Terri built continue to thrive - something shifted in me. I didn’t just want to admire it, I wanted to celebrate it in the way I know best.
So I went to my craft table.
The Crikey Collection started as a tiny spark of an idea and quickly turned into layers of bold colors, playful wildlife vibes, and party pieces that practically shout adventure. I wanted it to feel fun! A little wild! A little loud! Full of life!
Because that’s who Steve was.
Even now, when I hear his voice, I still get emotional.
This collection isn’t just paper and party details. It’s for the moms planning animal-themed birthdays. The classrooms learning about wildlife. The families who love big enthusiasm and bigger hearts. It’s for the kids who squeal over crocodiles and kangaroos. It’s for celebrating curiosity.
